Colleen Harmon helped JCU post its second consecutive 1-0 win with her game-winning goal against Marietta
Colleen Harmon (River Forest, IL, Oak Park-River Forest) took advantage of an opportunity early in the match, and the John Carroll defense did the rest as the Blue Streaks bested Marietta, 1-0, Friday afternoon at Don Shula Stadium.

The game-winning play occured when
Elizabeth Daigler (Chicago, IL, Mother McAuley) lofted a pass into the box that caromed off a Pioneer defender.
Rachel Grdina (Perry, OH, Perry) then tapped the ball to her right where Hamon had moved and had a wide open shot from less than five yards away.
With the Marietta keeper out of position, Harmon seized upon the chance and scored her second goal of the season.
It would be the lone goal of the game despite the fact that the two teams combined for 28 shots taken, including 12 on goal.
The victory moves John Carroll to 4-8-1 on the year and 2-1 in OAC play. Marietta slips to 3-7-1 overall and 0-3 in league play.
