John Carroll ventured to Oberlin College for a tri-meet with the host school and Allegheny College Saturday, but could not come away with a win in head-to-head competition with either opponent.
The Blue Streaks fell to Oberlin, 126-78, and to Allegheny, 141-68, with the lone individual victories turned in by David Essi and Eric Davis.
Essi won both the 1- and 3-meter diving competition. He scored 195.70 points on the lower board, and 194.60 points on the higher plank.
Davis captured the 200 Fly event in a time of 2:05.81.
A handful of second place finishes were turned in by Blue Streak swimmers. Alex Vereshchagin was the runner-up in the 100 Free (49.23) and Nicholas Grady was the runner-up in the 500 Free (5:07.56).
