Box Score

John Carroll took just two shots, but in a model of efficiency, made one of those two shots count for the only goal of the match as the Blue Streaks snared a 1-0 victory on the road at Case Reserve Wednesday night in Cleveland, Ohio.

Case would fire 13 shots compared to John Carroll's two, but it was a shot by John Carroll sophomore Betsy Haigh that would prove to be the difference.

Haigh scored her third goal of the year in the 86th minute to stun the host Spartans.

Senior keeper Michelle Zrebiec stopped eight shots for her fifth shutout of the season, and her first since September 10 (2-0 at Hiram).

John Carroll is now 6-1-2, which marks its best start to a season since 1999, when JCU started 7-2 en route to a 13-5-1 campaign.
