Anna Navatsyk dropped just two games all day in singles and doubles play against Wooster

For the first time in John Carroll's 2008 season, the Blue Streaks won all nine matches contested in a victory over the College of Wooster in a non-conference match staged Thursday afternoon at Oakwood Country Club in nearby South Euclid, Ohio.

Inclement weather forced the match indoors, but the Blue Streaks did not skip a beat in winning its second consecutive match after a 1-6 start.
The doubles tandems of Sara Crane and Allison Balestrino, Anna Navatsyk and Amy Marchlen, and Ashley Bauer and Hilary Fulp all produced solid victories. Crane and Balestrino improved to 5-3 this season with an 8-1 win at #1 singles, while Marchlen and Navatsyk won by the same score at #2 doubles.
Bauer and Fulp evened their season record at 2-2 with an 8-3 triumph at #3 doubles.
JCU closed out the win when Crane engineered a 6-0 6-0 victory at #1 singles and Marchlen wore down her opponent for a 6-1 6-2 decision at #3 singles.
The rest of the match was played using pro sets (first to eight games) to determine a winner. JCU would lose just four games in four matches, including an 8-0 win by Balestrino at #4 singles.
John Carroll is now 3-6 on the year, while Wooster slips to 0-6.
