Christian Huelsman scored his team-leading 11th goal of the year with less than five minutes remaining in the opening period to give visiting Ohio Northern a 1-0 advantage.

JCU could not get the equalizier until the 82nd minute. After Mike Pinter fed a pass up the right side, Scott McKinney trapped it and fired in a shot from 25 yards away that found the upper left corner. The score would remain tied at 1-1 at the end of regulation.

While neither team had a great opportunity in the first overtime, both had great chances to end matters in the second overtime.
