Swimming at home for the first time in over two months, the John Carroll men's team ran into a well-oiled Oberlin College machine, dropping a 161-112 decision at the hands of the Yeomen.

Oberlin had a 32-20 lead after three events, but JCU would have an answer in the 100 yard backstroke. Max Wilberding (59.99) and Ehren Eschmann (1:00.61) were able to tie the score at 35 with first and second place finishes, respectively.

The Yeomen pushed ahead in the next three races (100 yard breaststroke, 200 yard butterfly, and 50 yard freestyle) to build a commanding lead and would not be threatened for the remainder of the afternoon at William H. Johnson Natatorium.

Nicholas Grady delivered a first place time of 52.15 in the 100 yard free and two second place finishes with a 1:53.79 in the 200 yard free and 5:21.63 in the 500 yard free.

Wilberding picked up a second place finish in the 50 yard free with a time of 23.53 and teammate Tom Barden grabbed two second place times in the 1000 yard free (11:21.70) and the 400 yard IM (5:02.13).

The Blue Streaks' record fell to 1-7 with the loss.
